With the wide application of water purification equipment in the water treatment industry, reverse osmosis membranes have gradually gained attention. The cost of reverse osmosis reverse osmosis membrane is one of the most concerned issues for consumers. Good maintenance helps to prolong the service life of reverse osmosis membrane.


After the equipment is tested, our two methods protect the reverse osmosis membrane equipment for two days (15~24 hours), then use 2% formaldehyde solution for maintenance; or after running for 2~6 hours, use 1% hydrogen sulfite. The aqueous solution of sodium is used to maintain the reverse osmosis membrane (the air in the equipment piping should be drained to ensure that the equipment does not leak, and all inlet and outlet valves are closed). Both methods can achieve satisfactory results. The first method is costly and is used when the idle time is long. The second method of maintaining the reverse osmosis membrane is used when the idle time is short.

Storage conditions of reverse osmosis membrane elements


(1) New film (before use)


1 membrane element must be kept in a wet state at all times. Even if it is necessary to temporarily open it in order to confirm the number of the same package, it must be in a state where the plastic bag is not broken, and this state should be saved until use.


2 Avoid direct sunlight when storing in an atmosphere of more than 10 ° C. Choose a well ventilated place. At this time, the storage temperature should not exceed 35 °C.


3 If the freezing occurs, physical damage will occur, so take insulation measures and do not freeze them.


(2) membrane element after watering


1 membrane elements must be kept in a dark place, keep the temperature not above 35 °C, and avoid direct sunlight.


2 If the temperature is below 0 °C, there is a possibility of freezing, and anti-freezing measures should be taken.


3 composite membrane elements should be soaked with pure water or reverse osmosis filtered water containing a drug (sodium bisulfite, 500~1000mg / L, pH value 3~6).


4 The film should not be in a dry state under any circumstances.


5 The concentration and pH value of the preservation solution should be kept within the above range and should be checked regularly. If it is possible to deviate from the above range, the preservation solution should be prepared again.


Reverse osmosis membrane cleaning


Reverse osmosis membrane pollution is an important factor affecting the working efficiency and service life of reverse osmosis system. The general service life of membrane is about 2 - 3 years, and will be replaced after 3 years (the cost of replacing new membrane and membrane cleaning is good) . Litian membrane cleaning, according to different customers to develop a variety of different types of cleaning agents, cleaning steps and cleaning methods. When the reverse osmosis system parameters change as follows, your system will be cleaned immediately:


The differential pressure between the sections of the system: a pressure difference of ≤0.2Mpa; the pressure difference of the second section is ≤0.1Mpa.


When the operating parameters of the system are unchanged, the water production by the temperature correction system is restored to more than 85% of the designed water production.


The water desalination rate does not change by more than 5%.


Cleaning step


General steps for cleaning reverse osmosis membrane components:


Use a pump to pump clean, free chlorine-free reverse osmosis product water from the wash tank (or corresponding water source) into a pressure vessel and drain for a few minutes.


Prepare the cleaning solution in a cleaning tank with clean product water.


The cleaning solution is circulated in the pressure vessel for 1 hour or for a predetermined period of time.


After the cleaning is completed, drain the cleaning tank and rinse it, then fill the cleaning tank with clean product water for further washing.


Use a pump to pump clean, free chlorine free product water from the wash tank (or corresponding water source) into a pressure vessel and drain for a few minutes.


After flushing the reverse osmosis system, run the reverse osmosis system with the product water drain valve open until the product water is clean, free of foam or detergent (usually 15 to 30 minutes).
